Unionville Woman Wins $9,000 Instantly

Story Photo A Unionville woman and her family don’t have to worry about the high costs of heating their home this winter after she uncovered a $9,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery "Triple Money" Scratchers ticket on Sept. 22. Sharon Robbins, 52, said she plans to use some of the money for upcoming heating costs. Robbins, who works as a clerk at Derby Market in Glenwood, said she bought some tickets at work and then scratched them off later at home. Robbins said she couldn’t believe the prize amount when she scratched off the ticket. In addition to paying heating costs, Robbins said she and David plan to save some of the money for a trip to California next summer to visit family members. "Triple Money," a $1 game, officially started on July 2.
