West Plains Mom Finds $10,000 Prize In Cash Spectacular

Story Photo A West Plains mother is planning to go clothes shopping after she uncovered a $10,000 prize on a Missouri Lottery "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" Scratchers ticket. Candice "Candy" Ellett, 36, said she plans to use some of the money to buy school clothes for two of her four children. She also plans to pay bills with some of the money. "My husband had to take two weeks off work to stay with me and the baby, so we got a little behind," said Ellett, who gave birth to a daughter just three weeks ago. "This will really help." Ellett purchased her winning ticket at Fas Serv, 1702 Gibson in West Plains. Her husband, Stacy, scratched off the prize later at home. The new "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" game, which officially started on Sept. 10, has the highest payout in the Lottery’s history and offers more than $102.5 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million. More than 75.14 percent of the $10 game’s sales will be returned to players as prizes.
