Richland Woman Finds $1,000 Prize In New Game

Story Photo A Richland woman can thank her daughter for listening to her after she sent her into Casey’s, 111 W. Washington in Richland, to buy a $10 and a $5 Scratchers tickets. Rebecca Clark, 54, said her daughter picked a $5 ticket from the "$100,000 Stacks of Cash" game and a $10 ticket from the "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" game. Clark scratched them off in the car on the way home and found out the $10 ticket was worth $1,000. "I went home and did the $1,000 dance for my husband," mused Clark, who is the kitchen manager for the Warren Senior Center in Richland. "I’m an avid gardener, so we will spend some of the prize money on landscaping our new house." Clark said she and her husband, Lenn, also plan to put $500 in the bank for a vacation. The new "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" game, which officially started on Sept. 10, has the highest payout in the Lottery’s history and offers more than $102.5 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million. More than 75.14 percent of the $10 game’s sales will be returned to players as prizes.
