Hankering For Milk and Cookies Brings Arnold Woman $20,000

Story Photo A hankering for milk and cookies turned into a $20,000 windfall for an Arnold woman. Sandi Sippel, 58, said the craving was what prompted her to go to Shop N Save, 1253 Water Tower Plaza in Arnold, on Sept. 13. "I was having a milk and cookie fit," Sippell mused. Along with the groceries, Sippel purchased about $20 worth of Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets. Later that night, she scratched off the tickets at the kitchen table while she and her husband, David, chatted. To her surprise, one of the tickets turned out to be worth $20,000. "I handed it to him (husband) and said, ’Tell me if I just won $20,000,’" she said. "I was having trouble believing it." Sippel said she plans to use the prize money to pay some bills and share some money with her daughter and granddaughter. "Lucky Numbers," a $2 game, officially went on sale June 4.
