Arkansas Woman Wins $30,000 Top Prize

Story Photo A health information clerk from Bella Vista, Ark., is planning to bank her winnings after she won $30,000 playing the Missouri Lottery’s "Triple Fortune" Scratchers game. Donna Hunter, 55, said she purchased her winning ticket Sept. 14 at The Jug Store, 29 Missouri Lane in Pineville, when she went to purchase Powerball tickets. Hunter said she, her husband, Jack, and their neighbor, who had accompanied the couple to Pineville, stopped to eat dinner on their way home, and that was where she scratched off her ticket. "I looked at my husband, and we high-fived each other," Hunter said. "Our neighbor went crazy, though, telling everyone we had just won." Hunter said in addition to putting most of the prize money in the bank, she also plans to pay a few bills. "Triple Fortune," a $2 game, officially went on sale Jan. 29.
