LOTTERY SENDS $15 MILLION TO EDUCATION
The Missouri Lottery today transferred more than $15 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund to benefit public education. The April transfer of $15,462,932 is based on lottery ticket sales in March. This transfer brings the total amount of revenues sent to education during fiscal year 1999 to more than $126 million.
Since lottery sales began 13 years ago, the lottery has provided the state, including education, with more than $1.3 billion.
