St. Charles Cashier Finds $1,000 In New Cash Spectacular Game
A St. Charles cashier rang up a $1,000 prize for herself by playing the Missouri Lottery’s new "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" Scratchers game. Amanda Bax, 26, said she got off work at Mid Rivers Citgo in St. Peters on Sept. 13, and she decided to buy one $10 ticket from the new game. When she scratched it off in her car, she found out it was worth $1,000.
"I don’t usually play (the lottery,)" she said. "But I bought this ticket because it was new."
Bax said she plans to use the prize money to pay bills, and she "might buy some clothes," though she isn’t sure yet.
The new "$100 Million Cash Spectacular" game, which officially started on Sept. 10, has the highest payout in the Lottery’s history and offers more than $102.5 million in cash prizes, including 10 top prizes of $1 million. More than 75.14 percent of the $10 game’s sales will be returned to players as prizes.
