A Joplin woman was the second person today to uncover three truck symbols to win a brand new 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck in the Missouri Lottery’s new "Trucks & Bucks" Scratchers game. Irine Hight, 44, purchased her winning ticket this morning at Lacy’s, 901 N. Florida in Joplin. Another lottery player in Beaufort also scratched off one of the game’s top prizes this morning. Hight said she took $9 worth of winning lottery tickets to Lacy’s to redeem for more tickets, and she added $3 to it for a total purchase of $12 in "Trucks & Bucks" tickets. While in the car with her husband, Cotton, on the way to work, she scratched off the prize. "I think I won a truck," Hight told her husband. They each checked the ticket out closer when they stopped to pick up a friend. The Hights are the owners of Cotton and Irine’s Lounge in Joplin. Hight said the truck will come in handy since their other vehicles are a ’66 Ford truck and a ’93 Pontiac Sunbird. Ten 1999 Ford XLT 4 X 4 Styleside Supercab trucks will be awarded to Missouri Lottery Scratchers players through the "Trucks & Bucks" instant game. In addition to the truck, winners will also receive a check for $500, and the lottery will pay 28 percent federal and 4 percent state withholding taxes on the truck packages.
