Columbia Food Service Worker Whips Up $3,250

A $1 Pick 4 play added up to $3,250 on Aug. 10 for a Columbia food service worker. Cynthia Burton, who works for the University of Missouri, selected the numbers 3-3-9-1 while searching the "Numbers Wizard*" at the Missouri Lottery’s Web site,
www.molottery.com.
"The numbers were the year my mother was born-in reverse," said Burton. "I thought they would be lucky numbers to play."
Burton, 39, purchased her winning ticket at Fastlane, 220 Tenth St. North in Columbia.
"My birthday is a couple of days away, so I might buy something nice for myself," said Burton. "I’ll also pay some bills and send some of the money to my mother."
Pick 4 is a daily Numbers Game that offers players a chance to win up to $6,000 by picking four numbers between 0 and 9. Players can also allow the computer to generate four numbers randomly for them.
