Camdenton Man Wins $3,125 Playing Military Numbers

Story Photo A Camdenton man who used the last four numbers of his Air Force serial number to play Pick 4 ended up winning $3,125 in the Aug. 1 midday drawing. Edward "Ed" Simpson, 74, said he has been playing those numbers for quite some time. "We’ll put it (prize money) in the bank for an emergency," he said. Simpson, who drives a bus for Tan Tar A, purchased his winning ticket at Lake Oasis Convenient Store, 181 N. Highway 5 in Camdenton. Pick 4 is a daily Numbers Game that offers players a chance to win up to $6,000 by picking four numbers between 0 and 9. Players can also allow the computer to generate four numbers randomly for them.
