ROSEBUD HOMEMAKER WHIPS UP $25,000

A 29-year-old Rosebud woman recently took a trip to Luckytown when she scratched off a $25,000 cash prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "One-Eyed Jack" instant game. Chris Downing purchased her winning ticket late Monday night at Voss Express, 413 E. Lincoln in Owensville. Downing and her husband, "Bud," scratched off half of the tickets she purchased that night, and none of them were winners. The next day, Downing and her friend Renee Losh of Owensville scratched off the four remaining tickets, and Losh discovered one was worth $25,000. Downing said she and Bud will probably use the money to pay bills and maybe put a down payment on a new home.
