West Plains Caregiver Uncovers $30,000 Prize

Story Photo A West Plains in-home caregiver can take care of her own home after she uncovered a $30,000 top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Spicy Hot Cash" Scratchers ticket. Pat Dixon, 53, said she bought about five Scratchers tickets on Aug. 1, when she stopped at Philmart, 500 S. Main St. in Salem. "It was a good surprise," she said when she claimed her prize at the Lottery’s Springfield office on Aug. 2. Along with sprucing up the inside of her home, Dixon said she and her husband, George, may also use some of the prize money to buy her a different car. "Spicy Hot Cash," a $2 game, officially went on sale July 30.
