Jefferson City Man Wins $27,777

Story Photo A retired metal worker from Jefferson City scraped up $27,777 on a $2 "Gold 7’s" Scratchers ticket on July 8.  James Snyder, 60, said he bought his winning ticket at Break Time, 1200 Missouri Blvd. in Jefferson City, when he stopped to buy gas.

"I gave it to my wife to keep it safe," said Snyder.

Synder, whose son owns an Imos Pizza restaurant in Jefferson City, said he and his wife, Joyce, planned to use the money to invest in the business.

"Gold 7’s," a $2 Scratchers game, officially went on sale July 2.
