Brumley Man Wins $100,000 Prize

A new truck and a vacation to visit family may be in the works for a Brumley man after he won $100,000 playing a Missouri Lottery’s "Jumbo Bucks" Scratchers ticket. Steve Hasker, a maintenance worker, said he and his girlfriend, Beverly, are already making travel plans after he won the prize with a ticket he bought at Jiffy Stop in Kaiser on July 1.

Hasker, 52, said he and Beverly were on their way to a garage sale when they decided to buy gas at Jiffy Stop. While there, he bought one $5 "Jumbo Bucks" ticket and a $10 Scratchers ticket. He won $100 on the $10 ticket and $100,000 on the "Jumbo Bucks" ticket.

In addition to the vacation and a new truck, Hasker said he also intends to use some of his winnings to pay bills.

"Jumbo Bucks," a $5 game, officially went on sale Jan. 29.
