Patricia Schneider and Cindy Bollmeyer, the Lottery co-captains for the group, are responsible for collecting money, buying tickets, making photocopies and reporting on winnings. They said they usually buy the group’s tickets from at least three different retail locations.
"We like to think this improves our luck," said Schneider.
So far, all prizes won by the group have been reinvested into buying more tickets.
"We use Quick Pick to select our numbers, and then Cindy (Bollmeyer) makes copies of the tickets and passes them out to everyone prior to the drawing," said Schneider. "When we win, we put (the winnings) toward the next drawing."
Schneider said their group is pretty laid back when it comes to rules.
"If you’re a regular player and you’re absent on the day we collect money, someone will always cover you," explained Schneider. "If you’re not a regular player, there’s no guarantee. That’s about the only rule we have."
This fun-loving group of co-workers not only enjoys playing the Lottery together, they also have a lot of fun working together.
When asked what advice they would give to other Lottery teams, Schneider spoke for the rest of the group and said, "Keep trying!"
