O'Fallon Woman Wins $100,000 Prize

A fun summer is in store for the family of Ruby Hardy of O’Fallon as they make plans to put up a swimming pool after she won $100,000 playing a "Monte Carlo" Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Hardy said a swimming pool is the only thing the family plans to buy after she won the prize with a ticket purchased on June 25 at Convenient Food, 9035 Gravois in St. Louis.
Hardy said she wanted to purchase a Missouri Lottery "Bingo" Scratchers ticket when she went to Convenient Food, but the ?Bingo? tickets were sold out, so she purchased a "Monte Carlo" ticket instead.
"I scratched it off at the store, and I had to look at it 100 times," Hardy said. "I drove over to my mom’s to have her look at it, too. I’m just so excited."
In addition to the swimming pool, Hardy and her husband, Randall, plan to put a lot of her winnings in the bank.
"Monte Carlo," a $5 game, officially went on sale April 23.
