After reading about a group of housekeepers who won a large jackpot, a few employees from the Gates Corporation decided to organize a group of their own.

"We want to win, and we have as good a chance as anyone else," said group member Rosalee Johnson from Neelyville.

Suzetta "Suzie" Leutert, lottery captain for the group, said when the group first formed, each member filled out a playslip.   Some chose their own numbers and others chose the Quick Pick option, but everyone has played the same numbers since that first play.

"Someone told us to keep playing the same numbers, so that’s what we’ve done," said Leutert.

Leutert said she usually buys the group’s tickets at Bradley’s Foods, 13455 Highway 53 in Qulin.

The group has won a couple of significant prizes, including a $128 prize two weeks ago.

"We let the winnings accumulate (to $54), and then we have a ’Free Play Day’ for everyone," Leutert said.

"The thought of winning and not having to work is what keeps us playing each week," said Rita Eaton, group member from Poplar Bluff.

"The bigger the group, the better the chance you have of winning," added Tommy Wooten, also of Poplar Bluff.

When asked what she would do if the group ever won a jackpot prize, Leutert said, "After I quit screaming or am stabilized at the hospital, I would call everyone and let them know."

Congratulations again, and good luck to the "Show Us the Money" group of Poplar Bluff!
