BUFFALO WOMAN WINS TRIP TO ORLANDO

A retired Buffalo mother no longer has to wonder what to give her two grown sons for Christmas after scratching off a trip for four to Florida in the Missouri Lottery’s "Green Thunder" instant game. Barbara King, 69, said she’s unable to fly, but her sons, ages 39 and 41, are racing fans and would love to go. King purchased her winning ticket last Thursday at Wood’s Supermarket in Buffalo. She said she usually doesn’t buy "Green Thunder" tickets and she’s not sure why she decided to buy three that day. Other than her two sons, King isn’t sure who else will go on the vacation for four, which is scheduled around the DAYTONA 500 Race next February. A total of 15 trips will be awarded through the "Green Thunder" instant game. The trips for four include airline tickets, hotel accommodations, tickets to the DAYTONA 500 Race, tickets to the NAPA Auto Parts 300 Race, passes to Orlando theme parks and $500 cash. In addition, withholding taxes of 28 percent federal and 4 percent state will be paid by the Lottery.
