Springfield Man Uncovers $10,000 Prize On Supplies Run

A Springfield man who ran out to Wal-Mart for supplies to paint his "front room" ended up winning $10,000 on Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. John Blas said he decided to stop at Go Convenience, 2006 N. Broadway in Springfield, on April 21 on his way home and bought two "$100,000 Player’s Club" tickets. One of the tickets turned out to be worth $10,000.
"We bought two pre-owned cars with the money," he said. "I had fun with the money."
One of the cars Blas bought is more economical on gas. "You know the way gas prices are going," he said.
"$100,000 Player’s Club,? a $5 game, officially went on sale Dec. 25, 2004.
