SEDALIA WOMAN SCRATCHES OFF $21,000

A migraine headache brought both pain and elation to a 19-year-old Sedalia woman on Saturday. Shelley Holman said she went to Break Time, 808 E. Broadway in Sedalia, Friday night to buy some Tylenol to relieve her headache. While there, she purchased two "Double Blackjack" Scratchers tickets. When she scratched the tickets off early Saturday morning, one turned out to be a $5 winner and the other one turned out to be worth the game’s top prize of $21,000. Holman said she and her husband, Robert, plan to use the money to pay bills, buy a new fence for their two dogs and buy two miniature parrots. She said they may also buy a computer.
