Arkansas Man Wins $100,000 With Ticket Bought in Pineville

Story Photo A retired Arkansas man may be planning a trip he and his wife have been dreaming about after he won $100,000 playing Powerball in Missouri on March 9. John Stone, 60, of Bella Vista, Ark., said he and his wife, Lynn, may take a trip or two with the prize money. "My wife wants to sail around Hawaii, so we might do that," he said. "We’ll probably give a little bit to the kids, too." Stone, who retired from the Air Force, bought his winning Powerball ticket at Macadoodles in Pineville. He let the computer pick the lucky numbers. They were: 10, 17, 20, 23 and 45. To date, 729 tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the Powerball game started in April 1992.
