Bowling Green Man Uncovers A $10,000 Prize

Story Photo A Bowling Green man who bought some Missouri Lottery tickets on a hunch ended up winning $10,000. Michael Schlueter, 40, said he stopped at Abel’s Quik Shop, 1220 E. Champ Clark Drive in Bowling Green on Feb. 28 to buy gas. He said something inside "told" him to skip his usual soda purchase and buy a couple of tickets, so he bought five of the $5 "Jumbo Bucks" Scratchers tickets. When he scratched off the latex later at home after watching a movie, he thought he had a winner. "We feel like our prayers have been answered," he said. Schlueter, who is an operator for a grading company, said the money will go to his three children. ?Jumbo Bucks" officially went on sale Jan. 29.
