Fox 38 To Air Missouri Lottery Drawings in Central Missouri

Starting Feb. 28, KQFX, Fox 38, in Columbia and Jefferson City will team up with the Missouri Lottery to broadcast the Lottery’s animated drawings during their News at Nine.  In addition to showing the drawings for Pick 3, Pick 4, SHOW ME 5 Paydown and Lotto, Fox 38 will also broadcast Powerball numbers on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 10 and 10:30 p.m.

"We’re pleased that the drawing show can once again be seen in the mid-Missouri area," said Adam Hall, marketing director for the Missouri Lottery.

In exchange for airing the drawings, the Lottery will promote Fox 38 as the official Lottery station in central Missouri on outdoor billboards, on Numbers Games tickets, at retail locations, on the winning numbers hot line, on the Lottery’s Web site and in retailer and player publications.  The Lottery will also provide the station with prizes and Scratchers tickets for on-air promotions.

"Our stations were the home of the original Fun and Fortune television game show for years, so it only seems natural that Fox 38 should be the official home of the Missouri Lottery in central Missouri.  We’re thrilled to provide these exclusive drawings in the Columbia-Jefferson City area," said Randy Wright, vice president and general manager of KMIZ/KQFX/KZOU and the Show-Me Weather Channel.

Along with Fox 38 in mid-Missouri, the Lottery’s animated drawings can also be seen on KTVI, Fox 2, in St. Louis, WDAF, Fox 4, in Kansas City and WGEM, Channel 10, in Hannibal.
