St. Charles Man Wins $100,000

Story Photo A St. Charles man is thinking about taking a "nice" vacation after winning a $100,000 prize playing Powerball. Clarence "Ray" Winn, 70, said he and his wife, Sheila, also plan to pay bills with the prize money. "We’ve been tossing it around," said Winn, who is a retired printer. Winn purchased his winning ticket for the Feb. 19 drawing that same day, when he stopped at Aro-Mart, 3755 Harvester Road in St. Peters, to buy gas. He said he has been playing the same numbers, which he picked at random, several years. The winning numbers were: 12, 15, 18, 27 and 52. To date, 724 tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the Powerball game started in April 1992.
