Marceline Man Wins $100,000 Instantly

Story Photo A Marceline man recently uncovered a $100,000 cash prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Billy Ewing, 47, said on Feb. 11, he took a couple of dollars worth of previous winning tickets to County Line Convenience in Marceline to cash in. While at the store, Ewing said something told him to buy one of the $5 "Super Cash" tickets. When he scratched the latex off the ticket at home, he found out the ticket was worth $100,000. "I don’t buy tickets very often," he said. "My wife buys them sometimes, though." Ewing said he and his wife, Suzette, plan to use their windfall to pay off debts, fix up their home and put some money into a college fund for their 10-year-old daughter. ?Super Cash,? a $5 game, officially went on sale April 24, 2004.
