LOTTERY SENDS $10.7 MILLION TO EDUCATION
The Missouri Lottery today transferred $10.7 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund to benefit public education. The February monthly transfer of $10,773,023, based on lottery ticket sales in January, brings the total amount of revenues to education during fiscal year 1999 to more than $99 million.
Since lottery sales began 13 years ago, the lottery has provided the state, including education, with more than $1.29 billion.
