Hannibal Man Wins Another Fortune Playing The Lottery

Story Photo A Hannibal man uncovered a $10,000 prize on a "$300,000 Fortune" Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket on Dec. 30. Tom Elledge, 37, bought his winning ticket at Ayerco, Highways 36 and 24 in Palmyra. Elledge, who is an unemployed designer for a heating element company, said he will use the prize money to help with his unemployment costs and to pay some bills. Elledge said he also has won several large lottery prizes in the past. Two years ago, he won $10,000 on a Scratchers ticket. In 2002, he won $111,000 and a new Ford Explorer when he appeared as a contestant on the Lottery’s former "Fun & Fortune" game show. He was also a contestant on the show in 2000, when he won a total of $56,000. "I used that prize money to pay off my house and bills," he said. ?$300,000 Fortune,? a $10 game, officially went on sale Sept. 13, 2003.
