Helpful Husband Brings Dixon Couple $10,000 Prize

Going to the store for his wife paid off to the tune of $10,000 for a 62-year-old Dixon man. Dale Copeland said he went to Town & Country Supermarket in Dixon on Dec. 14 to buy wax paper that his wife, Mildred, needed. While there, he also bought a Missouri Lottery "Super Ruby Red 7’s" Scratchers ticket that turned out to be worth $10,000.
The Copelands said they plan to use their prize money to pay bills, give to charities and maybe take a trip in the spring.
?Super Ruby Red 7?s,? a $5 game, officially went on sale Sept. 9.
