Second Big Scratchers Prize Sold At Buckman's

Story Photo For the second time in a month, a patron of Buckman’s Convenience Store in Monroe City has won a large prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Angie Griggs, 39, of Monroe City claimed a $20,000 prize on a "Ho Ho Holidays" Scratchers ticket that she purchased there on Dec. 16. On Nov. 20, Mark Greening of Monroe City won $1,000 on a Scratchers ticket he purchased at Buckman’s. "It couldn’t have come at a better time," said Griggs. Griggs and her husband, Bob, who are parents of four children, plan to use the prize money to buy Christmas presents and pay some bills. They may also buy a bigger television and a new computer. The couple are employed at Pace Industries in Monroe City. "Ho Ho Holidays," a $2 game, officially went on sale Oct. 30.
