Man Wins Big Bucks Checking Bucks At Buckman's

Story Photo A Monroe City man checking bucks won $1,000 bucks at Buckman’s Convenience Store in Monroe City on Nov. 20. Mark Greening, 46, said he was working there part-time during deer season to help check deer tags, when he decided to buy two $10 lottery tickets from the "Casino Cash" Scratchers game. The first one he played turned out to be worth $1,000. "Actually, it is already spent," Greening mused when he claimed his prize on Dec. 9. "We bought a new dryer, a plane ticket for my son who is in the Marines in California (to come home for Christmas) and a letter jacket for my 15-year-old." Greening works full time for the Missouri Department of Corrections as a probation and parole officer. ?Casino Cash,? a $10 game, officially went on sale Oct. 9.
