Eldon Woman Adds $1,000 To Christmas Fund

An Eldon woman can stuff her stocking with an extra $1,000 this year after she uncovered the prize on a "Cash Blizzard" Scratchers ticket on Dec. 8. Robin Newman, 47, said she stopped in Jiffy Stop in Eldon to cash in a free ticket and buy $10 in Scratchers. One of those tickets turned out to be a $1,000 winner. Newman said she planned to use some of the money for Christmas gifts for her children and grandchildren and pay some bills. "Cash Blizzard," a $1 game, officially went on sale Dec. 8.
