Sedalia Man Wins $1,000 Playing Pull-Tabs

Story Photo A Sedalia man?s birthday proved to be an extra lucky day for him after he won $1,000 playing a Missouri Lottery Pull-Tab game, ?$1,000 Diamond Dash,? on Dec. 6, his birthday. David Cain, 42, said he had just taken part in a meeting at VFW Post 2591, 121 S. Ohio in Sedalia, when he decided to buy $5 worth of Pull-Tabs from the Lottery?s vending machine. The first Pull-Tab proved to be worth $1,000. ?I couldn?t believe it at first,? Cain said. ?My wife didn?t believe it either.? Cain, who works at DeLong?s Inc. in Sedalia, said he and his wife, Vicki, plan to use their winnings for Christmas. ?It couldn?t have come at a better time,? he said. ?$1,000 Diamond Dash,? a $1 game, officially went on sale July 22.
