Bates City Woman Wins $100,000 in Powerball

Story Photo A Bates City woman can add $100,000 to her bank account after winning the second-level prize in the Nov. 13 Powerball drawing. Mary Lou Prewitt, 60, said she and her husband, Mark, plan to save the windfall. Prewitt said she used Quick Pick to select her lucky combination on the ticket she bought at Hy-Vee Food/Drug Store, 301 N.E. Rice Road in Lee’s Summit. The winning numbers were: 5, 6, 26, 33 and 34. To date, 713 tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the Powerball game started in April 1992. The Powerball jackpot for tonight is up to an estimated $95 million.
