Costume Contest Winners Announced

Six Missouri Lottery players will have another reason to brag about their Halloween costumes this year.  Each were chosen to receive $50 worth of Scratchers tickets in the Missouri Lottery’s 2004 Halloween Costume Photo Contest.

"We had a great response from our players with this contest, and we had a lot of fun judging the costumes," said Julie Beck, managing Web editor for the Lottery.  "We saw everything from ’The Sesame Street Gang’ to the ’Boogie Man;’ it was really tough to decide on just six winners.  Our players really have a lot of creativity and talent!"

The winners were:

Kay Schutte, De Soto--Fruit of the Loom Gang;

Bill Bigheart, Miami, Okla.--Sexy Shirley;

Ryan Barker, Kansas City--The Superfriends;

Tonia Helton, Poplar Bluff--Lucky Lottery Lady;

James Daher, St. Louis--The Boogie Man;

Kay Currier, St. Joseph--The Sesame Street Gang.

Each winner’s photo can be viewed at the Lottery’s Web site. More than 80 photos were submitted to the contest, which ran from October through Nov. 10.
