Salisbury Woman Adds Money to Christmas Club

Story Photo A Salisbury woman has an extra $1,000 to celebrate Christmas after she uncovered the prize on a "Red Hot Cash" ticket on Nov. 6. Linda Harrington, 54, said she stopped in Ken’s Country Junction in New Cambria to cash a check for her daughter-in-law and to redeem a $5 winning Scratchers ticket. While there, she bought some more Scratchers, and one of them turned out to be a $1,000 winner. Harrington, a nurses’ aide for Lock Haven Nursing Home in Macon, said she plans to use her winnings to buy Christmas gifts. "Red Hot Cash," a $2 game, officially went on sale Sept. 18.
