Harrisburg Woman Wins $1,000 Instantly

Story Photo A 37-year-old Harrisburg woman is $1,000 richer after she uncovered a cash prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "Season’s Greetings" Scratchers game. Nancy Welch said she plans to buy her daughter, Hannah, a trampoline and put most of the prize money in her savings. Welch, who is an assistant animal lab technician at the University of Missouri in Columbia, purchased the winning ticket on Oct. 28 at Palmer’s Market in Harrisburg. She bought one $5 ticket from the "Season’s Greetings" game and a couple of $1 tickets. Her only $5 ticket turned out to be worth $1,000. "Season’s Greetings," a $5 game, officially went on sale Oct. 30.
