St. Louis Husband Gives Wife Winning Lottery Ticket
A St. Louis husband (63120*) gave his wife more than a card and a couple of Missouri Lottery tickets for her birthday and anniversary, when one of the tickets turned out to be worth a trip for two to Las Vegas. Dolores Outlaw, 47, said she is "just elated" to have won this prize.
"We just got back (from Vegas) in August," she said. "I’ve been there about five times. I love it; I could go every weekend!"
Outlaw said she and her husband, Jack, will probably take the trip for their next wedding anniversary ? their 10th ? next September. Outlaw said her birthday and wedding anniversary are the same day, Sept. 9.
Outlaw’s husband, Jack, bought a couple of tickets from the "Viva Las Vegas" Scratchers game at 7-Eleven, 201 N. 17th St. in St. Louis. He put them in a birthday/anniversary card and presented it to his wife.
When asked why he decided to buy a couple of Scratchers tickets for her, he said he couldn’t think of anything she needed.
Outlaw’s travel package includes a four-day, three-night trip for two to Las Vegas, round-trip airfare, a choice of deluxe hotel accommodations, hotel ground transfers to and from the airport and $500 spending money. The Lottery will pay 25 percent of federal and 4 percent of state withholding taxes based on the total trip prize value.
In addition to 60 trip prizes in the $5 "Viva Las Vegas" game, there are also thousands of cash prizes including $100,000 prizes.
