MARYLAND HEIGHTS ELECTRICIAN WINS $25,000

A remodeling project at QuikTrip, 9420 W. Florissant in Ferguson, really paid off for one electrician when he bought a Missouri Lottery SHOW ME 5 ticket for Friday night’s drawing and won $25,000 tax paid.* Ed Necker, 53, said he’ll use his winnings to pay off credit cards and buy new siding for his house. Necker said he let the computer pick the combination on his winning ticket. Those winning numbers were: 6, 11, 13, 15 and 26. To date, 706 SHOW ME 5 players have won $25,000 tax paid since the game began in November 1994. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund.
