St. Louis Woman Wins Vegas Trip In Lottery Game
A St. Louis woman is headed back to Las Vegas after she uncovered a trip prize on a Missouri Lottery "Viva Las Vegas" Scratchers game. Rosalie Ryan, 31, said she is excited to take the trip since she lived in Las Vegas years ago and she still has some relatives there.
"It (Las Vegas) was fun," she said. "I have a nephew and a sister-in-law there."
Ryan’s boyfriend purchased her winning ticket Sept. 14, when they stopped at 7-Eleven, 3765 Gravois in St. Louis, for a soda. He bought one $5 "Viva Las Vegas" ticket for her, and she scratched the latex off the ticket at home.
Ryan’s travel package includes a four-day, three-night trip for two to Las Vegas, round-trip airfare, a choice of deluxe hotel accommodations, hotel ground transfers to and from the airport and $500 spending money. The Lottery will pay 25 percent of federal and 4 percent of state withholding taxes based on the total trip prize value.
In addition to 60 trip prizes in the $5 "Viva Las Vegas" game, there are also thousands of cash prizes including $100,000 prizes.
