Third One A Charm for Sedalia Woman

Story Photo The third ticket was a charm for a Sedalia woman who bought three Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets. Janice "Jan" Moore, 53, said something "told her" to buy a couple of Scratchers tickets on Aug. 30, when she stopped at Petey’s Phillips 66 in Sedalia to buy gas before work. Moore said the first one wasn’t a winner, the second one was a $6 winner and the third one turned out to be worth $1,000. "I panicked," said Moore, who is a facilities manager for the medical clinic at Whiteman Air Force base. Moore, who also farms, said she and her husband, Larry, plan to use the prize money to buy a ram at the upcoming Bethel Sheep Festival. "Lots Of Luck," a $1 Scratchers game, officially began on May 15.
