Richmond Heights Police Officer Nabs $100,000 Prize

A Richmond Heights police officer recently uncovered a $100,000 cash prize on a Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. William "Bill" Comer Jr., 51, said he plans to use his prize winnings to buy a car and take a vacation. Comer said he bought his winning ticket on Aug. 25 at Shell, 1402 S. Hanley Road in St. Louis. He stopped there to get a drink and to redeem a $5 winning Lottery ticket from a previous purchase. He bought a $5 ticket with his prize money, and then he decided to buy another ticket. The second ticket was the big winner.
"Something just told me to do it," he explained.
Comer said he may use the prize money to buy a Lincoln Town Car, a model he has always wanted.
"Viva Las Vegas," a $5 Scratchers game, officially went on sale on July 31. In addition to a top prize of $100,000 cash, a total of 60 trips for two to Las Vegas are available to be won instantly.
