Pick 4 Player's Numbers Pay Off

Story Photo

Like many other Missouri Lottery Pick 4 players, Galisa Roundtree of Jefferson City has a set of numbers she routinely plays. One of her numbers, 1-0-7-7, hit in the past, but Roundtree had not bought a ticket for that drawing. The Nov. 16 evening drawing gave her a second chance.

Having bought tickets for the drawing, Roundtree was waiting to hear the numbers drawn at a family member’s house. Sure enough, the numbers that night were 1-0-7-7, and this time she had played them.

“I yelled, and everybody heard me,” Roundtree recalled. “They were asking me what was wrong.”

For matching the Pick 4 numbers drawn with a straight/box play, Roundtree won a prize of $3,250. She purchased her winning ticket at Arena Liquor & C Store, 629 Jefferson St., in Jefferson City.

In the most recent fiscal year, players in Cole County won more than $13.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $1.2 million in commissions and bonuses, and an additional $4.5 million went to educational programs in the county.
