After leaving work recently, Tasha Cole stopped in at Break Time, 808 E. Broadway, in Sedalia. While checking out, the clerk saw her eyeing the Missouri Lottery Scratchers display.

“They said, ‘You know you want a ticket,’” Cole recalled. “So I got one.”
The game that had caught her eye happened to be a “Fireball 7s” ticket. It only took a few moments of scratching for the Sedalia woman to realize she had a big winner on her hands.

“I saw the first ‘7,’ and ‘$5,000,’” she said. “I scratched again and just kept on seeing 7s.”

Once she added up all of the ‘7’ symbols, Cole realized she was holding a ticket worth $77,777 — the game’s top prize.

Fireball 7s” is a $5 Scratchers game, with more than $2.9 million in remaining prizes, including another top prize of $77,777.

In the most recent fiscal year, Missouri Lottery players in Pettis County won more than $6.6 million in prizes. Retailers in the county received more than $673,000 in commissions and bonuses, and an additional $2.6 million went to educational programs in the county.
