Lottery Awarding Tickets, T-Shirts, Trips and More at State Fair
Fairgoers have a chance to win more than stuffed animals and trinkets at this year’s Missouri State Fair. By stopping by the Missouri Lottery’s booth, located behind the Administration Building, fairgoers will have a chance to win Scratchers tickets, a $3,000 shopping spree, an ATV or Waverunner, or a trip to Mexico or Jamaica.
"We’re offering a wide range of prizes so something will appeal to almost anyone," said Jennifer Kempker, promotions manager for the Missouri Lottery. "We’re also allowing the entrant to decide what prizes he or she would like to win."
During this year’s fair, which runs from Aug. 12 to Aug. 22, fairgoers can purchase Missouri Lottery tickets at the Lottery booth. From Monday through Friday, players who purchase $5 worth of tickets will receive a free Numbers Game ticket. On Saturdays and Sundays, players who buy $10 worth of tickets will receive a free Lottery T-shirt, while supplies last.
Players can use the tickets purchased at the Lottery’s fair booth to enter daily second-chance drawings. Each day, players can deposit their non-winning ticket entries into one of three drawing drums, depending on which prize package they would like to try to win. The prizes for the three drums are:
? A $3,000 shopping spree at a Missouri mall;
? The winners choice of an ATV or Waverunner;
? The winners choice of a $3,000 travel certificate
for a trip for two to an all-inclusive resort in
Cancun, Mexico, or Negril, Jamaica.
From Aug. 12 through Aug. 21, daily drawings will be held at 7 p.m. Each day, the Lottery will draw 10 entries from each of the three drums, and those winners will receive $100 worth of Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets, along with being automatically entered into the grand-prize drawing. In the grand-prize drawing, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22, immediately after the daily drawing, one ticket will be drawn from each of the three drums to determine that prize’s winner.
Winners do not need to be present to win. For more information on the Lottery’s State Fair prize drawings, visit the Lottery’s Web site at www.molottery.com.
