The Missouri Lottery is hosting a customer appreciation event today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Rolla. The event will take place at Rolla MotoMart, 119 Howard Johnson Drive in Rolla, in appreciation for the location’s 2018 Million Dollar Club status.

“Rolla MotoMart has emerged as an elite Lottery retailer in recent years,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “This is the third year they have sold more than $1 million in Lottery tickets, and we are looking forward to celebrating their achievements with their customers.”

The Lottery’s annual Million Dollar Club is a collection of all retail locations that sold more than $1 million in Lottery products during a given calendar year. Rolla MotoMart is one of dozens of locations included in the 2018 Million Collar Club. Last year, sales from Rolla MotoMart generated more than $254,000 for public education.

“We could not benefit public education programs without partnerships like these with our retailers,” said Reardon. “We will be presenting Rolla MotoMart with a framed certificate at today’s event, and players will have the chance to win prizes, too.”
Since Lottery sales began in 1986, more than $6 billion has been generated for the state and public education programs and institutions like the Missouri University of Science and Technology. In the most recent fiscal year, public education programs in Phelps County received more than $1.8 million in funding.
