Lake Area Man Wins Harley-Davidson Motorcycle
A construction employee is the envy of his co-workers after he uncovered a Vivid Black Harley-Davidson SportsterŽ 1200 Custom? motorcycle as the prize on his "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers ticket. Perry Crabtree, 27, of Kaiser said he made his usual stop at Jiffy Stop, 389 Highway 28 in Kaiser, on June 23 to get a soda on his way from work. While there, he also bought two "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers tickets.
Crabtree said he waited until he got home to scratch off the tickets and couldn’t believe it when he saw the second ticket was the big winner.
"The guys at work have been trying hard to win the motorcycle, so when I called work to let them know I wouldn?t be in this morning, I had to rub it in a little," Crabtree said when he claimed his prize on June 24.
"When I told him (his supervisor) that I wouldn’t be in, he asked me why, so I said, ’You know that Harley-Davidson motorcycle you?ve been trying to win from the lottery?’" Crabtree asked. "’Well I have to go and pick mine up tomorrow.’"
In addition to the motorcycle, the Lottery will pay the withholding taxes on the prize package, which is worth more than $15,000. Crabtree will also receive a $500 Harley-Davidson certificate valid at a Harley-Davidson dealership and a Harley-Davidson prize package.
Missouri Lottery players now have two ways to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle - by playing the Lottery’s $2 Scratchers game by the same name and by entering the "Ticket to Ride" promotion.
By buying a $2 "Harley DavidsonŽ" Scratchers ticket, Lottery players have a chance to win up to $25,000 in cash or one of six Vivid Black Harley-Davidson SportsterŽ 1200 Custom? motorcycles plus a $500 gift certificate and a prize package valid at a Missouri Harley-Davidson dealership.
Missouri Lottery players also have a chance to win a new Harley-Davidson Lava Red Sunglow Heritage SoftailŽ Classic motorcycle or one of 450 Harley Davidson prize packs in the "Ticket to Ride" promotion. The promotion, which officially started May 15, consists of three first-prize drawings and one grand-prize drawing. To enter the drawings, players should fill out the back of a non-winning "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers ticket and put that ticket in an envelope, no larger than business size. Only one ticket per envelope allowed. Players can enter by mail, on the Lottery’s Web site at molottery.com or by depositing entries at one of the Lottery’s four offices.
