St. Thomas Truck Driver Hauls In $500

Story Photo A 41-year-old St. Thomas man is $500 richer after taking a clerk’s suggestion to buy a Missouri Lottery "Lost Treasure Adventure" Scratchers ticket. Artie Buschjost said he stopped at B & K Quick Shoppe in St. Thomas on June 12 to buy some cigarettes. While there, a clerk mentioned that the store had just displayed the new Scratchers game, so Buschjost took the clerk’s advice. He bought two "Lost Treasure Adventure" tickets; one was a free-ticket winner and the other one was worth $500. "It’ll (winnings) help pay the sales tax for the new pick-up I’m planning to get," he said. Buschjost drives a gasoline truck for Luebbering Oil in Jefferson City. "Lost Treasure Adventure," a $1 Scratchers game, officially began June 12.
