Assistant Principal Wins Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

Story Photo The assistant principal at Green Pines Elementary School in Rockwood will have more fun than she planned this summer after she uncovered a Vivid Black Harley-Davidson SportsterŽ 1200 Custom? motorcycle as the prize on her "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers ticket. Tracy Breitenbach, 32, of Valley Park said she stopped in Schnucks Market, 1310 Big Bend in Ballwin, on June 4, before heading to the local "Relay for Life" fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society. "The plan was to scratch off a number for every lap (walked around the relay track)," she said. "We forgot to do it (scratch a number) after the fourth lap. So I scratched off the rest of the ticket at home early the next morning." That is when Breitenback discovered that her ticket was worth a brand new motorcycle. In addition to the motorcycle, the Lottery will pay the withholding taxes on the prize package, which is worth more than $15,000. Breitenbach will also receive a $500 Harley-Davidson certificate valid at a Harley-Davidson dealership and a Harley-Davidson prize package. Breitenbach said she and her boyfriend just got certified to ride motorcycles in September, when her boyfriend bought a Harley-Davidson motorcycle for himself. "I’m thrilled," Breitenbach said. "I can ride it to school. Our custodian has one, and the kids are always talking about it." Breitenbach said she and her boyfriend bought two of the Harley-Davidson Scratchers tickets when they stopped in Schnucks Friday night. One of the two tickets was worth $5, so they cashed it in and bought two more Harley-Davidson tickets. One of those tickets was a $50 winner, and the other ticket turned out to be worth the Harley-Davidson motorcycle. "It is probably the third time I have ever bought (Lottery Scratchers) tickets," she said. Missouri Lottery players now have two ways to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle - by playing the Lottery’s $2 Scratchers game by the same name and by entering the "Ticket to Ride" promotion. By buying a $2 "Harley DavidsonŽ" Scratchers ticket, Lottery players have a chance to win up to $25,000 in cash or one of six Vivid Black Harley-Davidson SportsterŽ 1200 Custom? motorcycles plus a $500 gift certificate and a prize package valid at a Missouri Harley-Davidson dealership. Missouri Lottery players also have a chance to win a new Harley-Davidson Lava Red Sunglow Heritage SoftailŽ Classic motorcycle or one of 450 Harley Davidson prize packs in the "Ticket to Ride" promotion. The promotion, which officially started May 15, consists of three first-prize drawings and one grand-prize drawing. To enter the drawings, players should fill out the back of a non-winning "Harley-Davidson" Scratchers ticket and put that ticket in an envelope, no larger than business size. Only one ticket per envelope allowed. Players can enter by mail, on the Lottery’s Web site at molottery.com or by depositing entries at one of the Lottery’s four offices.
