High Ridge Man Wins $100,000 Playing Powerball

Story Photo A High Ridge man is $100,000 richer after playing Powerball on May 5. Adam Abernathy, 29, said he plans to invest all of his prize money. Abernathy, an automobile salesman, let the computer Quick Pick his winning numbers on a ticket he purchased at 7-Eleven, 703 Union Road in St. Louis. The winning white-ball numbers were: 9, 16, 21, 25 and 32. To date, 700 tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the Powerball game started in April 1992.
