Arkansas Man Wins Extra $2,500 While Working In Missouri

Story Photo A 52-year-old Arkansas man got a $2,500 bonus while working in Missouri after his $1 "Deuces Wild" Scratchers ticket he bought on May 5 turned out to be worth $2,500. Ramon Chavez of Clinton, Ark., said he was doing some sub-contracted work for the railroad near Sedalia, and on his way back to Arkansas, he decided to stop in Rapid Robert’s, 235 Laurel Road in Ridgedale to buy some Missouri Lottery tickets. "I buy them and take them back (to Arkansas) and scratch them," he said. "I had a friend pick one, and I had the other one; mine was the winner." Chavez said he plans to pay bills with some of his prize money and "have a big time some time" with some of the money. "I’m most definitely going to have some fun," he said. "Deuces Wild," a $1 Scratchers game, officially began Jan. 31.
